Probability

Probability theory is concerned with calculating the probability of an event based on existing knowledge. For example, from considerations of symmetry or observation we can infer that the probability of getting a head on a coin toss is 0.5. We can use this to calculate the probability of getting two heads in succession, or any other combination or permutation of sequences.

Topics in probability include:

Bayes Theorem Multiplication Rules
Complementary Probability Mutually Exclusive
Independence Union
Intersection Venn Diagram

Probability is included in the MiC Quality Advanced Statistics course.
