SIX SIGMA Glossary:Gage R & R

Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility is a method used to evaluate the accuracy of Measurement Systems. It is based on the idea that the total measurement systems error can be separated into 'repeatability' and 'reproducibility'. Error is measured using the standard deviation:
