Accuracy

Accuracy is a term used in measurement. It is the difference between the average, or mean, of a number of readings and the true, or target, value. For a more detailed explanation see Bias

Refer to Process Variation for an explanation of the difference between accuracy and precision.

MiC Quality offers several courses that deal with variation. They include the Statistical Process Control courses, the Measurement Systems Analysis Course and the Statistics courses. Variation is also important in the Design of Experiments.

Try out our courses by taking the first module of the Primer in Statistics free of charge.
