We cleared immigration at Fiumicino Airport in Rome by about 7am.

We had booked a B&B at Zagarolo. This is a small town about half an hour by train from Rome.

We had arranged for our host, Ivano, to pick us up from the airport and also to store our bike bags in their shed until our return.

The accommodation was the most enjoyable we have ever stayed at. Ivano and Tehri have the knack of making people feel like friends rather than customers.

They gladly helped us with buying train tickets, rang up the call center to help us get our Internet connection working and ran us to and from the station. They also offered to come and rescue us if we got into trouble during the holiday.
