:: Paste Special Syllabus    PreviousNext

You can already use the right click menu to copy a range of cells.

I'd like to point out a couple of other important ‘Copy' and 'Paste' options'.

Right click on the top left cell of the range you want to copy.

Right click on the top left cell of where you want to paste it.

You then see a context sensitive row of 'Paste Options'.

You only see the options that are available:

Select the one you want and left click.

paste: includes both the cell contents and any cell format (color, alignment etc.)
value: converts a formula to its numerical value
formula: copies the cell contents (formula) only, not the cell formats
transpose: the rows will become columns and vice versa
format: copies the cell formats only, not the contents
link: pastes a link from another worksheet

Notice that a drop down box remains after the paste, so you have the opportunity to change to a different option.
