Mixture Designs
Augmented Lattice Design

The basic design points are augmented with additional internal points:

Extreme Vertex Design

The constraints on the mixture do not create a triangular region for the experiment (this assumes a three component design, designs with more components are harder to draw):

A type of design where the design points are placed on a 'lattice':

L Simplex Designs

Constraints on the component proportions still allow the experimental region to be represented as a triangle (using a three component design as the basis for the explanation):

Mixture Design

A type of experimental design that involves mixtures of ingredients. The distinctive feature of mixtures is that the proportions must add up to 100%.

Simplex Centroid Design

A Type of mixture design with points at the corners, the midpoints of the sides, and the center:
